Billericay Web Services follow Billericay Town F.C. as part of our business strategy supporting the local community. Paul Alexander, the business owner attends most home matches and goes to as many away matches as he can. This year he has attended away matches at Thurrock, Needham Market, Staines and Worthing and has seen a great Billericay Town FC following at all these matches.
The latest venture was a trip to Worthing and it was a good day out despite the result. The attendance of 1163 was a great turnout considering the snow that had been about on the preceding days. The match had only been confirmed as on that Saturday morning after much speculation. Worthing attendance seemed to be about 650 or around that figure for other home matches so Billericay Town F.C. had given the crowd a great boost.
The match, ending in a 2 – 1 home victory for Worthing was Billericay’s 4th defeat in 5 matches and was a shock considering the bookmakers had Billericay down as 2/7 favourites to win. So what’s gone wrong, fans are asking and when will the bad run come to an end soon. There is of course no single answer to this and if you follow twitter you will see so many people have different opinions. What is clear though is this runs needs to end quickly and decisively with some big matches coming up over the following weeks including Dulwich, Staines and a cup final against Chelmsford on 20th March at Colchester FC.
Let’s get behind the Blues and give them our full support!
